The API in Sports and Entertainment organization aims to cultivate a community that connects, supports, and amplifies the voices of Asian professionals within the industry. Through networking, empowerment, and career development we strive to create a forum to promote and encourage greater recognition for the API impact in the sports and entertainment field.
Kelsey, Quinn and Shannon all met working at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. Kelsey's background comes from working in the MLB in an event management, scheduling and operational role that led to her joining the Event Booking and Programming team in February of 2020. Shannon came from a marketing and brand management past across the Big Ten Network and NHL that led to her joining the Partnership Marketing team in January of 2020 and more recently transitioning to the Event Booking and Programming team in January of 2023. Quinn's passions led her to start her career in the concert promoting side of the business in a Marketing/Public Relations role, and she transitioned to the venue side as a Publicity Manager in December of 2021.
The overlap in their roles to bring world class events to the Hollywood Park campus allowed the three women to work closely together and become fast friends. Together with their diverse backgrounds, they started the brain child that is API in Sports and Entertainment in April 2022, and have been building on the mission of organizing a community that connects, supports, and amplifies voices of Asian professionals in the sports and entertainment field and are excited to finally launch this idea to the public and watch it grow in the years to come.
